Live auction held on LiveAuctioneers and Invaluable. We will be accepting absentee bids and phone bids placed with the gallery. You will also be able to place ABSENTEE bids on our website through HiBid.
Quinn’s Auction Galleries is proud to present a Folk Art Auction featuring a variety of works including pottery, wood carvings, metal sculptures, mixed media paintings, and works of renowned artists such as Clementine Hunter, Roy Ferdinand, and Dr. Bob. A selection of Louisiana and New Orleans artists such as Prophet Royal Robertson, Reginald Mitchell, and Cyril and Ivy Billiot. This auction includes many items from the collection of Betty-Carol Sellen and Martha Burt. Sellen, a librarian and a collector of Folk and Outsider Art, has authored and co-authored many books on the subject. She served on the Board of Directors for Art Enables in Washington D.C. and as a member of the National Advisory Board for the Folk Art Society of America. She was a recipient of the Folk Art Society’s Award of Distinction in 2002 for her work in the field.
